Snowdonia... Again

I have just got back home from another trip to Snowdonia in north Wales. I say "another trip" because there are already some photos on the site from a week I spent in this region just two years ago. I normally don't like to go back to the same places more than once, but I love this part of the world.

The Peak District

OK, just a quick note to announce that I've just uploaded a new gallery... photos from my long weekend away last weekend to the Peak National Park.

February Snow!

Well, it's been a while since I wrote anything on here but the snowfall yesterday prompted me to head out with my camera. The photos I've uploaded today here are the result.

As all the trains were cancelled and there was no way I could get to work in London I reverted to childhood and spent most of the day playing in the snow. Check out these videos for proof!

I've been having a bit of fun with a website I came across yesterday, PhotoFunia. It's a free site that will let you use various effects (many with face recognition) on your own photos to create some great results.

Ive uploaded a small gallery with a couple of examples here.

OK... so here goes... the first post on my blog!

Well I guess I should say hello. I'm Tim, as you'll probably know if you've made it this far. The purpose of this blog is to bring a little more content to my growing website PlacesIHaveBeen.

I've been playing around with PlacesIHaveBeen for a couple of years now, but it is only in the last couple of months that I've got it the way I like it. The site is essentially a way for me to show off some of the photos I have taken on my travels over the last few years; both close to home like Snowdonia in north Wales and further destinations from the Himalayas to New York.

I will be adding new photos to the site as I visit new places and will use this blog to form a running commentary as I go along. There are quite a few collections of photos that I haven't uploaded yet for places I have already been. So keep checking back.

Erm... well... I guess that's all for now. Feel free to comment about the photos, or the site.
